WOW!!
What a wet, wild, muddy, cold, then sunny and hot weekend full of PRs, smiles, effort, sportsmanship, camaraderie, laughter and overall team building.
I hope everyone enjoyed the meet as much as I did.
What an amazing group of athletes!
One item that we need to address: Relays
We had athletes stranded again. If you or your athlete signs up for a relay, understand that you are making a commitment to a team. Three other athletes and their families are counting on YOU. Sometimes meets get cold, wet, hot or long and the temptation to go home is great. However, 3 other athletes and their families are cold, wet, hot or tired too, and they are waiting to compete or cheer on their child only to find out at staging that you’ve left.
Illness, injuries, and emergencies happen. We all understand that and I never want an athlete to compete hurt or ill.
Baring any of the above, we all expect you to be there if you have signed up for a relay.
If you must leave, you MUST tell one of the Bantam coaches ASAP.
If you can not make this commitment, then please do not sign up for a relay.
On to the good stuff:
Practice this week
Monday
4:30-5:50 regular Bantam practice
5:30-6:00 Shot put or relay or early dismissal if parents are there.
Wednesday
4:30-6:00 for all
Thank you all.
GOOOOOO Bantams!!!!
