Dear Tigres families,
Over the past 11 months, Ventura Tigres and the Ventura County Youth Track Conference (VCYTC), have continued to meet and monitor national, state and local health and safety orders related to COVID-19 in hopes of holding a 2021 youth track season.
Due to several factors, most importantly the unavailability of school track facilities for outside organization use for practices or competitions, and the continued restrictions on large group gatherings, the Ventura Tigres board has decided that we are unable to offer a 2021 track season. This decision was not made lightly and it is with heavy hearts that we share this news.
Our friends at Mile 26 Running Co will be offering an eight-week Virtual Youth Running Program and we will send out information on this program soon.
We look forward to returning to a state of normalcy for the 2022 season. In order to prepare for the 2022 season our Tigres board will continue to meet and we invite interested parents to consider serving on our board as several of our members have children aging out of the program.
