It was a bit toasty until the sun started to set, but what a great day for a track meet!  It was so nice to see the athletes having fun with their teammates and competing so well.  The coaches really appreciated athletes willing to take control and be leaders with warming up for events and stepping up when we needed fill ins for relays.  We especially loved to see many of the athletes embrace the 4×400 relay at the end of the meet.  It is the highlight of most high school meets and we love to see our Tigres support their team by laying it on the line when they are tired at the end of meets.

Great job with athletes being reliable for the relays and for the heads up where we had some illness that caused athletes to miss.  We really appreciated the heads up.  Also, a huge improvement with event sign ups – thank you to all the athletes for signing up at practice during the week!

Having athletes try some new events and getting out of their comfort zone was also really fun for us coaches.  Keep it up and give something new a shot!

This coming week is a home meet against the Thousand Oaks Flyers.  This will be a great test for our Midgets, with the Flyers being one of the best all around clubs in our conference.  Let’s bring our best!

Remember that athletes sign up for events on the clipboards, located by the coaches bag on the field.  They will be there all week, but the earlier the better.
