This Saturday (May 4th) will be our last regular season meet (vs. Heritage Valley at Buena). This will be the last chance for athletes to obtain a Varsity Meet qualifying standard.
I know there have been some questions about the remaining Championship meets. All athletes who have not qualified for Varsity Finals will be eligible to compete in the JV finals on May 11th (also at Buena). We hope everyone elible to complete will do so, it is a fantastic meet with 5 teams from our conference participating. An athlete must have completed in an event at least once during the season to complete in that event at JV finals. If an athlete has qualified for Varsity finals in an event, and wants to compete in that event at Varsity finals, they cannot also complete in the event at JV finals. Some Varsity Finals qualified athletes will probably also complete at the JV finals in events that they can not qualified for at the Varsity level.
Additionally, some althletes will be asked to be part of the relay teams at either the JV and Varsity finals. An athlete cannot compete in the same relay at both meets.
