Hello Parents –
I hope that you and your athletes had a great time at our practice meet today! Everything seemed to move smoothly, and the athletes performed exceptionally well today. It was great to see them come off the track with smiles on their faces, even though it was very hot.
If you are curious about what a regular season meet looks like, just picture about twice as many athletes, with every event for every eligible age group being ran. Yes, it will be longer, and with a lot more folks – but twice the fun and excitement!
If there’s one thing to take away from today, it would be to make sure that your son or daughter is well equipped for these meets, with plenty of water, sunscreen, and snacks to last throughout the meet. The sun can be draining, so we encourage the athletes to seek shade and sip water in between their events.
