Congratulations to Tristan Carter and Derek Pekar – two Ventura Tigres Midgets that qualified at the AAU National Qualifier meet in Lancaster – they will be competing at the AAU Junior Olympics in Texas on Aug.1 – Aug. 4.
Tristan Carter will be be competing in the 80m Hurdles and Long Jump – he placed 1st in the 80m Hurdles with a time of 13.92 and 2nd in Long Jump with a distance of 13-07.00. Derek Pekar will be competing in the High Hump and the 80m Hurdles, he placed 1st in the High Jump with a height of 4-04.00 and 1st in the Long Jump with a distance of 13-11.00.
