It has been a great two weeks of practice, and now we are just under two weeks until our practice meet on March 10th! Just a few quick updates and reminders, most of which have already been passed along by your coaches:
Practice:
Today, practice will be moving to Buena High School and will run from 4:30-6:00 (4:30-5:30ish for Gremlins). Please refrain from bringing spikes until further notice from your coaches. When arriving for practice, DO NOT enter onto the Buena High track until it has been cleared by Buena students and Tigres have been given the OK to start practice.
There are currently three days where practice will take place at Arroyo Verde:

Thurs, April 19
For athletes looking to participate in the speciality events, we encourage them to talk to their coach about it this week – our speciality coaches will begin practice this week (shot put, high jump, long jump & hurdles).
Uniforms/Apparel:
If you have not picked up your uniforms yet, or you need to exchange for different sizes – Tigres apparel will be available at Thursdays practice (Feb 30th). Also available for purchase will be sweatshirts, hats, beanies & tshirts!
Meets:
The meet schedule has been updated on the Meet Schedule page. Our first meet on March 10th is a PRACTICE meet – all volunteers will be scheduled to work that day.
Also, please make note of the home meet dates (INCLUDING May 5th, which will take place at Rio Mesa High School). All parents are required to work their shift at each home meet. Any scheduling conflicts must be worked out prior to the meets.
Tigres Communication:
This year, Tigres has made it easier for you to stay informed. In addition to your regular coaches email communication, Tigres news gets posted to the website at venturatigres.org. Important news goes right on the homepage. “Team News” (Gremlins, Bantams, Midgets, Y&I) will go into the top menu under TIGRES NEWS and will auto post to the Ventura Tigres Facebook page. Dont miss any of the important updates from Tigres – also subscribe to email and/or SMS notifications of new posts – opt in* on the top left section of our website. (*you may opt out of these updates at any time)

Tigres Fundraisers are coming! Tigres will be having a fundraiser upcoming soon in March and one in April. Stay tuned for more info!
