While the weather was great for our distance runners, the sprinters (and us coaches/parents) didn’t have it quite so nice. The team performed amazingly well across the board, but the cool weather did make things a bit challenging for the sprinter’s times to reflect how well they did. Camarillo has a big and very talented team, which brought out the competitiveness in our team. It was really amazing to see how our athletes laid it on the line and gave it everything they had. Even more than the performances on the track, as the season has gone on, the support our athletes give each other and the friendships being made has been fun to watch!

With one more regular season meet to go (against another very good club), athletes should be planning what events they would like to participate in for both Conference Finals and Conference Championships (for those who qualify). We’ll be talking about this at practice this week, but if you have any questions on how the championship meets work, please refer to the previous post here: https://www.venturatigres.org/youth-intermediate-qualifying-for-conference-championships-and-the-top-25-list/
